One of my intentions for this year is to spend more time pursuing my passions & inspirations and surrounding myself with things, people and activities that infuse me with vibrancy. The flip side of that intention is to spend less time planning, cleaning, worrying and overall not enjoying myself.

I often daydream during the week of hiking on the weekends; being outside all day, aways from devices, to-do lists and noise. However, I generally talk myself out of taking a day trip because “I have to much to do.” Laundry, grocery shopping, meal planning, etc. can clog up my weekend and I don’t end it feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Being out in nature, especially with fellow nature loves, is always an inspirational and energizing experience. It’s also something I don’t do as often as I would like to, but I intend to change that this year!

My family & I signed up for the Six Pack of Peaks that I saw posted on So Cal Hiker (an amazing blog with resources for hikes all around Southern California), The challenge will give us the opportunity to climb six of the peaks right here in Southern California. In the next few months, we will climb; Mt. Wilson, Cucamonga Peak, Mt. Baldy, San Bernardino Peak, Mt San Jacinto & Mt San Gorgonio.

I have already climbed Mt Baldy & Mt San Jacinto and loved both! I am truly looking forward to getting out in my own community (all of these peaks are less than an hour drive away) and experiencing the beauty of San Bernardino County.

I would love to hear about your intentions for the year. What do you intend to do more or less of?
