I am still trying to get back on track after an extremely indulgent Winter break filled with tons of couch lounging and eating, eating & eating some more.
This week I started introducing more Pitta pacifying foods into my diet and cutting out some of the things I have identified that aggravate my dosha type. I have more to share about this next week, so check back if you are interested. 🙂
To help me get back on track, I will be doing another round of Kris Carr’s 21 Day Adventure cleanse (you can read about the guidelines I follow by clicking here).
Beginning Monday, I am kicking off the Adventure Cleanse with a 5 day juice cleanse. I am hoping to create juices that are Pitta pacifying and cleansing.
With my limited knowledge and internet research, this is my plan. I am looking to have 4 juices per day. On days when I train at the gym, I will add in a smoothie at night. I have had questions before about if adding in a smoothie truly makes it a juice cleanse and the only way I know how to answer that is that this is what works best for me. Although there may be more cleansing benefits without the addition of a smoothie, it helps my energy levels and recovery on days where I am more active.
The ingredients listed are for (2) 20-32 ounces juices (my husband will be juice cleansing with me). The amount of juice yield will depend on the size of produce. (click for larger image)
I am including the recipes to try to convince you all to join me. Support is definitely key and I would love if anyone interested in making improvements or changes to their diet would care to join me.
Feel free to join me for all 5 days, 3 days, 1 day or maybe just one juice per day. Or, maybe juice cleanse is really not for you and you would like to join me on the Adventure Cleanse.
Please let me know if you have any questions (I am not a medical professional, but can share the limited amount I know based on my own experiences with juice cleansing/The Adventure Cleanse) and hope you join me in this journey!
